One Step at a Time

One Step at a Time is a book of 36 photographs that uses shoes as a metaphor for mental health disorders. The shoe represents the act of waking up every day, putting on our shoes, and walking away to confront our daily challenges and persevering through personal struggles, similar to how individuals would often walk away from mental health issues.

Each photograph, with its unique framing, angle, colour, and arrangement, represents a distinct mental disorder. This artistic approach allows for an innovative and empathetic exploration of mental health, encouraging awareness and understanding through the use of a relatable object.
